Minutes of the Meeting

Architectural Review

The 2003 and 2004 Boards of Directors, acting as the Architectural Review Committee, met following the annual meeting. The following members were present from the 2003 Board, Robert Thomason, President; Sara Clarke, Vice-President; Mike Joyce, Treasurer; and Joe Bowen, Operations Director. Two other directors elected to the 2004 Board were also present. Sara Clarke acted as secretary in the absence of Secretary Susan Fairley. The sole purpose of the meeting was to consider two lot improvements: (1) a swimming pool screen enclosure and solar panels on the lot of Tance and MarIa Singletary on Willow Drive; and (2) stairs from a second-story deck and a terrace beneath at the rear of the property of Mike and Karen Joyce on Ocean Dune Circle.

  1.  had already been built, and Mike Joyce and Joe Bowen had inspected it and found it acceptable. The Boards unanimously approved the improvement.
  2. was an addition to a planned improvement previously approved by the Board. Mike Joyce recused himself after presenting the plans for the improvement. The Boards unanimously approved the improvement.

The meeting of the two Boards as the Architectural Review Committee was then adjourned.

Organization of the 2004 Board

The newly elected Board for 2004 continued to meet with the following persons present: Joe Bowen, Sara Clarke, Anita Rohr, Peggy Steele, and Robert Thomason. By unanimous vote, the following officers were elected: President, Robert Thomason; Vice President, Sara Clarke;Secretary, Anita Rohr; Treasurer, Peggy Steele; Operations Director, Joe Bowen.

It was agreed that, if the Community Center is available, the next meeting of the Board will be held on Thursday, January 15 (alternative, Monday, January 12).

It was also agreed that Peggy Steele would be our contact person with Merry Maids who clean the pool restrooms. She will inspect after they clean and report any problems observed to them for correction.
